Artist Bio – Shari Askow | Askooriginals
With a foundation in textile arts, garment design, and a wide range of creative disciplines, my journey has naturally evolved into mosaic art—where all my skills, stories, and emotions converge.
In 2024, my artistic path took a profound turn following the loss of my son, Scott, a talented tattoo artist whose work lives on through those who wear his designs. His passing has deeply impacted my creative voice, inspiring not only my work but also reigniting the artistic spark in his brother.
Mosaic art has become both a tribute and a form of healing. My first major piece in this medium—a large mosaic table—depicts the spiritual world I imagine for Scott, capturing both light and darkness, day and night.
Through my art, I honor his memory and aim to support others who struggle with depression, PTSD, and addiction. A portion of my $ will help families and individuals who struggle.
