We are a diversified livestock operation raising cattle, lamb, hay, and, of course – wool.  The Bare Ranch was the first ranch settled in Surprise Valley at  the eastern foot of the Warner Mountain Range.  It was on the route that Peter Lassen scouted for pioneers to travel to California during the Gold Rush. Wadsworth Ranching Company is owned by Matt Wadsworth who inherited management of the ranch from his father John. The ranch is located in Panaca, one of the oldest continuously occupied settlements in Southern Nevada. Panaca was founded in 1864 and the first Wadsworth arrived in 1867.
