Nordic Ritual’s story begins with the decision to stop using chapsticks/balms.
I realized after YEARS of obsessing over the newest and best chapsticks that none of them actually work. Living in the high desert of Nevada my lips were still cracking, peeling, and painfully dry. That is when I did a deep dive on these products out there and realized they were all keeping my lips DEPENDENT-not making them better. Between the mineral oils, organic but cheap filler oils, and wax, my lips were being sealed rather than nourished.
This is when I decided enough was enough. It was time to create my own product to truly nourish my lips while allowing them to heal on their own. I went back to my nordic roots and what my ancestors used to heal their skin. That is how I received the inspiration to use Tallow (the best healing remedy and cure all). By being in touch with ancient ingredients and modern techniques, I created lip care that targets the most common issues in a simple and natural way.
