I moved to NV in 2010 due to a rare Neurological Disorder (Autonomic Dysrefelxia) which had me wheelchair and bed bound for 2yrs in my home state of WI. The weather in NV has caused my disorder to go dormant, however as I get older it will re-trigger. Crocheting was part of my physical therapy to keep my hands and arms from atrophying. In the next 7-10yrs my disorder will be active again. I want to build this business to a successful level by then so that I can continue to work and be an active member of society when I am no longer able to get around. When my disorder originally triggered having people buy my blankets that I crocheted made me feel less broken. I felt like I had a purpose again instead of focusing on the fact that I could no longer walk, do basic daily functions, some days I wasn’t even strong enough to chew food. But when I crocheted I was doing something and that is what kept me motivated to make sure I moved to NV. To get a “normal” life again.
